    AboutisiXhosa

Xhosa is an official language in South Africa. The course develops the ability of the pupils in reading, listening, speaking, and writing Xhosa, which will enable them to communicate effectively in everyday situations.

Besides the obvious value of being able to communicate with Xhosa-speaking people generally, the skills learnt here will enhance all career opportunities which require one to communicate with people, e.g. Social Service occupations, commerce, industry, law, banking, teaching, and any type of management. Pupils should have a keen desire to develop their ability to communicate in Xhosa. It is essential that pupils are willing to spend time and effort practising in their endeavour to communicate successfully in Xhosa.
