ANNOUNCEMENT OF TEMPORARY JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR OPERATORS OF VOTER REGISTRATION IMPROVEMENT CENTERS
For the purpose of improving the Permanent Voters Register and in accordance with the provisions of section 7 (4) of the Presidential, Parliamentary and Councilors Election Act No. 1 of 2024, the Director of Elections invites applications from qualified and capable Tanzanians to fill the positions of assistant writers and operators of biometric equipment.
A. QUALIFICATIONS OF AN ASSISTANT WRITER APPLICANT
(a) must be a Tanzanian citizen aged 18 or older;
(b) must have completed a minimum of secondary education and be able to read and write in Swahili or English;
(c) must have computer or smartphone skills;
(d) must be a resident of the street or village in the ward where they are applying to be an assistant writer;
(e) must not be a leader or member of a political party; and
(f) must be honest and obedient.
B. QUALIFICATIONS OF A BIOMETRIC EQUIPMENT OPERATOR APPLICANT
(a) must be a Tanzanian citizen aged 18 or older;
(b) must have completed a minimum of secondary education and be able to read and write in Swahili or English;
(c) must have computer or smartphone skills;
(d) must be a resident of the street or village in the ward where they are applying to be a biometric equipment operator;
(e) must not be a leader or member of a political party; and
(f) must be honest and obedient.
C. PAYMENT
Payment will be as follows: –
i. For the days of improving the Register at the stations, assistant writers and biometric equipment operators will be paid a daily allowance of 50,000 Shillings and a fare of 10,000 Shillings.
ii. During training, assistant writers and biometric equipment operators will be paid a daily allowance of 50,000 Shillings and a fare of 10,000 Shillings for each day of training.
D. GENERAL TERMS
i. The applicant must specify the position they are applying for along with the ward they are applying to work in.
ii. The applicant should attach: –
a. copies of Secondary Education and Professional certificates required according to the relevant cadre as explained in this Announcement.
b. a CV showing their residential address, reliable phone numbers and the names of their two referees.
c. two recent passport size photos.
d. an introduction letter from the local government executive in the area where they live.
iii. An applicant who is a public servant should pass their application letter through their employer.
ANY APPLICANT FOUND TO HAVE SUBMITTED FORGED INFORMATION WILL BE SUBJECT TO LEGAL ACTION.
