Job Vacancy Announcement at Kibiti District Council
The Executive Director of Kibiti District Council has received a New Employment Permit from the Secretary General OR – Public Service Management and Good Governance, reference No. FA.97/288/01/09 dated 25/06/2024. Therefore, he would like to announce to all qualified Tanzanians to submit applications for one (01) position as specified, considering the stated qualifications: –
1.0 DRIVER FERRY II (“Ferry/Boat Operator II”) POSITIONS 02
1:1 JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To tie and untie the boat/ferry ropes.
- To ensure the safety of passengers and vehicles on board the boat/ferry.
- To organize passengers or vehicles on the boat/ferry.
- To operate and navigate the boat/ferry.
- To maintain the ferry’s travel log.
- To ensure that the ferry engines are in good working condition.
- To check fuel and other operational tools.
1.1.1 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
Eligible candidates must have passed the Form Four Examination, possess skills in operating and maintaining boats/ferries certified by the Dar es Salaam Marine Institute or any other government-recognized institution for at least two years; and must have completed a six-month training in marine life-saving, swimming, and organizing people and vehicles on the boat/ferry.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
- All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
- Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should specify in the job application system the type of disability they have for the information of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.
- Applicants must attach a comprehensive personal information Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a current address, reachable phone numbers, and an email address along with the names of three reliable referees.
- Provisional/testimonial/statement of Result and results slips for Form Four and Six (Form IV and Form Six results slip) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- Applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by a Lawyer/Attorney.
- Applicants who have been dismissed from Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
- Applicants who are already Public Servants and have acquired qualifications to enter a different cadre than they currently hold must submit their job application letters through their employers, and their employers must verify appropriately.Job applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions in the Public Service should not apply and must adhere to the guidelines provided in Circular No. CAC.45/257/O1/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.
- All applications must be accompanied by certified professional certificates by a Lawyer/Attorney, which include Form Four and Form Six certificates for those who have reached that level and certificates of completion for various trainings according to the job qualifications.
Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates, Form IV and VI examination certificates, Computer Certificate, Professional Certificates from Respective Boards.
- Applicants who studied abroad must ensure their certificates are verified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
- Submission of forged information and qualifications will lead to legal action against the individuals involved.
- The application letter should be written in Swahili or English.
- The deadline for receiving application letters is July 30, 2024.
