Precision Air is based at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. The airline operates a number of domestic flights throughout Tanzania, as well as to other parts of Africa. Overall, Precision air flies to more than 15 destinations.

The airline was founded in 1991 but didn’t begin flying until 1993. In its first few months of operations, Precision Air offered private charter flights only. However, later in the same year, it began scheduled services and has offered a mixture of charter and scheduled flights since.
