The Ministry of Industry and Trade was established under the Government notice GN No. 619A of 30th August 2023 of the Ministers. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is one of the priority sectors in making the country to sustain lower middle and reach a middle income economy by 2025, and considering that the Ministry’s Stratergic Plan for 2021/22-2025/26 has been prepared in accordance with the following: Medium Term Strategic Planning and Budgeting Manual of the United Republic of Tanzania (2007 & 2010); The Tanzania Development Vision (Vision 2025); Five years Development Plan III (FYDP Three); CCM Election Manifesto 2020/25; Sustainable Development Goals; Tanzania Agro Processing Industries Development Flagship 2020 and Sector Policies
