JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Executive Director of the Mufindi District Council is announcing to Tanzanians with the qualifications and intention to work in the Mufindi District Council to apply for the job positions mentioned below, after receiving approval with Ref. No. FA. 97/288/01/09 dated June 25, 2024, and an alternative employment permit with Ref. No. FA. 228/613/01/C/068 dated June 12, 2024, from the Secretary-General of the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance.
1.0 ASSISTANT RECORDS OFFICER GRADE II (5 POSITIONS)
1.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES.
i. Registering incoming correspondence in the registry (incoming correspondence register);
ii. Registering outgoing correspondence from the Institution (outgoing correspondence register);
iii. Distributing files to action officers;
iv. Receiving files returned to the registry from action officers;
v. Searching for records/documents/files needed by action officers;
vi. Returning files to racks/filing cabinets and other places where they are stored;
vii. Monitoring the circulation of files within the Institution (file tracking); and
viii. Performing other duties assigned by the Employer or their supervisor.
1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT
Candidates must be graduates of Form Four or Six with a Diploma or NTA Level 6 in Records Management from government-recognized institutions and possess computer skills.
1.1.2 SALARY LEVEL
The salary level is TGS C.
1.2 VILLAGE EXECUTIVE GRADE III (13 POSITIONS)
1.2.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES.
i. Officer in charge and Chief Executive of the Village Government.
ii. Managing the safety and security of citizens and their property, being a guardian of peace and overseer of good governance in the village.
iii. Coordinating and managing the planning and implementation of village development programs.
iv. Secretary of all meetings and committees of the Village Council.
v. Interpreting and managing policies, laws, and regulations.
vi. Preparing reports on the implementation of work in their area and mobilizing citizens in preparing and implementing strategies to eradicate hunger, poverty, and increase productivity.
vii. Leader of the heads of professional units in the village.
viii. Managing, collecting, and preserving all records and documents of the village.
ix. Chairing meetings of the available professionals in the village.
x. Receiving, listening to, and resolving complaints and conflicts from citizens.
xi. Overseeing the creation of village by-laws.
xii. Reporting to the Ward Executive.
1.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT
Must have completed Form Four (Form IV) or Form Six (VI). Must have completed a Diploma in one of the following fields: Law, Social Education, Financial Management, Community Development, and Arts from a Local Government Training Institute or any institution recognized by the government.
1.2.3 SALARY LEVEL
The salary level is TGS B.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and aged not more than 45 years, except for those already employed in the government.
ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should specify their disabilities in the job application system for information to the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.
iii. All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by a lawyer.
iv. Applicants who are already public servants and have acquired qualifications for entry into different positions must submit their job application letters to their employers, who must verify them accordingly.
v. Applicants must attach a detailed CV with reliable contact addresses and phone numbers, along with the names of three reliable referees.
vi. All applications must be accompanied by certified academic certificates by a lawyer, which include certificates of Form Four, Form Six for those who have reached that level, and certificates of various training according to the job qualifications.
vii. “Testimonials, Provisional results, Statement of results” will not be accepted.
viii. Applicants who studied abroad must ensure their certificates are verified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NACTE, and NECTA).
ix. Applicants who have been retired from public service are not allowed to apply unless they have approval from the Chief Secretary.
x. Job applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions in the public service should not apply and must adhere to the instructions in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.
xi. Submission of false information and qualifications will result in legal action against the involved parties.
xii. The deadline for submitting job applications is August 4, 2024.
