The Tanzania People’s Defence Force (TPDF) is announcing recruitment opportunities for Tanzanian youth with Form Four and Form Six education. Additionally, the recruitment will involve youth currently in the National Service camps ‘Operation General Venance Mabeyo’ and those who have completed their contracts after undergoing National Service training in accordance with the law and voluntary contracts.
Youth interested in joining the Army must meet the following qualifications:
– Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
– Must be no older than 25 years.
– Must be in good health and of sound mind.
– Must have good character and discipline, and must not have been convicted of any criminal offenses in court.
– Must have a genuine birth certificate.
– Must have school certificates.
– Must not have served in the Police Force, Prisons, Training College, or Special Anti-Smuggling Unit.
– Must have completed National Service training under a voluntary contract for two (2) years or training in accordance with the law and awarded a certificate.
THE APPLICATION PROCEDURE IS AS FOLLOWS:
For youth in the JKT camps ‘Operation General Venance Mabeyo’, their procedures are coordinated by the Army Headquarters.
For youth outside the JKT camps, their applications should be handwritten and submitted to the Army Headquarters in Dodoma from August 1, 2024, to August 14, 2024, along with the following attachments:
– A copy of the National ID or NIDA number.
– A copy of the birth certificate.
– Copies of school certificates.
– A copy of the JKT certificate.
– The applicant’s mobile phone number.
