DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Responsible officer and chief executive of the village government;
– Manage the security and safety of citizens and their property, act as a peacekeeper and supervisor of good governance in the village;
– Coordinate and manage the planning of village development programs;
– Secretary of all meetings and committees of the village council;
– Interpret and manage Policies, Laws, and Procedures;
– Prepare performance reports for his/her area and motivate citizens to prepare and implement strategies for eradicating hunger, poverty, and increasing wealth production;
– Lead the heads of technical units in the village;
– Manage, collect, and store all village records and documents;
– Chair the meeting of experts in the village;
– Receive, listen to, and resolve complaints and conflicts among citizens;
– Supervise the drafting of village by-laws; and
– Be accountable to the Chief Executive of the Ward.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
– Candidates should have completed at least Form Four (IV) or Six (VI) education and have obtained a Diploma/Certificate in one of the following fields: Administration, Law, Community Education, Financial Management, Community Development, and Art Science from the Local Government Training Institute Hombolo, Dodoma or any other government-recognized institution.
