JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Performing nursing duties to care for clients in the community, hospitals, and all areas where health services are provided.
ii. Collecting essential health statistics.
iii. Guiding and supervising nurses under their charge.
iv. Providing home care services to patients.
v. Offering counseling services.
vi. Preparing a work plan for nursing services.
vii. Providing preventive and reproductive health services.
viii. Educating patients and the community.
ix. Performing other tasks assigned by their superior related to their education, experience, and skills.
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
Employment for those with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a government-recognized university, who have completed a one-year practical training (Internship), and are registered with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.
SALARY SCALE
In accordance with the Government Salary Scales TGHS C
GENERAL TERMS.
- All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and not older than 45 years, except those already employed in government service;

- Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure their certificates are verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
- Applicants who have retired from Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
- Job applicants who are already employed in entry positions in the Public Service should not apply and must adhere to the instructions in Circular No. CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.
- Submission of false information and qualifications will result in legal action against the involved parties.
