Currently, the Government of Tanzania, through the Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB), offers student loans to those who meet specific criteria. These loans aim to reduce the burden of school fees, accommodation, and book costs for students.
However, students who receive HESLB loans will be required to repay the funds after completing their studies and securing employment. The Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) does not offer scholarships to students; hence, new students should utilize the opportunity provided by HESLB to achieve their educational goals through the funding available.
