    Applications to join the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) must be completed online through the IFM Online Application System.

    You can submit your application by visiting the IFM Online Application System website, register your details, and complete the Application process Online.

    Step 1: Application Account Registration and Activation

    The first step in submitting your admission application to IFM is to register an account. Follow the steps below to register the account you will use to submit your application.

    • Visit The Institute of Finance Management Online Application System at https://ems.ifm.ac.tz/application
    • Click Apply For 2024/2025 – September Intake link.
    • The Application Account Registration page will open. Enter your details such as: Form 4 Index Number, Email, Phone Number, Password, select your Nationality, application level, and Entry Qualification.
    • Once you have filled out all the required details, click the Create account button to create your account.
    • A new page will open requiring you to verify your particulars so your account can be created. Cross-check if your name details match the names on your certificates and click the CONFIRM & CREATE ACCOUNT button to create your account (Applicant Account Verification).
    • You will receive a success message that says You have successfully registered. Please, login to proceed with the application. Then enter your Form 4 Index Number and Password to log into your account to start your application process.

    Step 2: Applicant Fee payments

    After successfully logging into your account, the next step is to pay your application fee. Navigate to the payments option on the page, where you will find your control number. Use this control number to pay your application fee. You can make payments through the bank (CRDB, NBC, TPB, NMB, BOT) or via mobile network operators (MNO).

    How To Pay Your Application Fees

    • Via Bank: Visit any branch or bank agent of CRDB, NBC, TPB, NMB, BOT. Reference Number: 991460406938
    • Via Mobile Network Operators (MNO): Enter to the respective USSD menu of MNO Select 4 (Make Payments) Select 5 (Government Payments) Enter 991460406938 as reference number.

    Step 3: Applicant process

    • After paying your application fees, complete the registration by entering your personal details, education details, employment details, and employment background.
    • Programme Choices: Once this step is completed, the system will automatically take you to the Programme Choices section, where you can select the courses, you wish to study at IFM. Ensure that you choose the courses accurately according to the criteria and your performance.
    • Review & Submission: Once you are confident that your application is complete, you can submit it. Before submitting, review all the steps to ensure your information and course choices are correct, then proceed to submit your application.

    Tracking Your Application Status

    Congratulations on completing the application process for your preferred course at IFM University. The final step is to track the status of your application to find out whether you have been selected.

    According to the admission schedule from TCU, the status of admission applications will be available starting on September 1, 2024. From that date, applicants are advised to log into the accounts they used to submit their applications to check their selection status.

    To check your application status at IFM, simply visit the IFM Online Application System website and log in using the username and password you created when you submitted your application.

    After logging into your account, you will be able to see the status and updates showing the status of your application, whether you have been selected by multiple colleges including IFM or by IFM only. If you have been selected by another college, you will need to confirm your admission to the college you agree to enroll in using the TCU confirmation code which will be sent to your email or phone number.

    If you have not been selected in the first admission window, you can reapply in the second admission round, which will officially open from September 3 to September 21, 2024. Additionally, the confirmation window for applicants admitted in the first application window will be open from September 3 to September 21, 2024, and students admitted in the second application window will be confirmed on October 5, 2024.
