Madaba District is one of the eight districts in the Ruvuma Region, located in southern Tanzania. In 2016, its areas were separated from the Songea Rural District.

In 2015, the district was estimated to have a population of 52,005. In the 2022 census, 65,215 people were counted .

Madaba District is located on the northern side of the Ruvuma Region; its headquarters are not far from the B4 road.
