AboutSix Rivers Africa
Six Rivers Africa is a not-for-profit conservation initiative with the aim to understand, protect, and promote biodiversity in the wetlands and former hunting areas of Tanzania.
The World Wildlife Fund’s “Living Planet Index” estimated that there had been a universal decline of up to 68% in biodiversity across the world over the last 50 years.
Six Rivers Africa was established to join the fight for the survival of the African savanna – adopting a data driven and ‘Tanzanian led’ approach to invest in wilderness areas for the benefit of future generations.
About Africa Project
Six Rivers Africa was set up under the guidance of the Six Rivers Foundation, a representative body acting on behalf of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, one of Great Britain’s most successful entrepreneurs with a love for Africa and a keen conservationist.
