Job Vacancy Announcement at Mlimba District Council
The Mlimba District Council has received approval to implement new employment with Reference No. FA. 97/288/01/09 dated June 25, 2024, from the Secretary General, Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance. In executing this approval, the Executive Director of the Mlimba District Council invites all Tanzanians with qualifications and a desire to work in the Mlimba District Council to apply for the job positions listed below.
1.0 VILLAGE EXECUTIVE OFFICER GRADE III – FIVE (5) POSITIONS
1.1. 1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Officer of the village government and chief executive;
- Oversee the safety and security of citizens and their property, act as peacekeeper and supervisor of good governance in the village;
- Coordinate and manage the planning of village development programs;
- Secretary of all meetings and committees of the village council;
- Interpret and manage policies, laws, and procedures;
- Prepare reports on work implementation in their area and motivate citizens to prepare and implement strategies to eradicate hunger, poverty, and increase productivity;
- Manage, collect, and preserve all records and documents of the village;Chair meetings of experts present in the village;
- Receive, listen to, and resolve complaints and conflicts of citizens;
- Oversee the drafting of village by-laws; and
- Be accountable to the Ward Executive Officer.
1.1.1 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS.
Must have completed Form Four or Six with a Diploma (NTA Level 5) in one of the fields of Administration, Law, Social Education, Financial Management, Community Development, and Arts from a Local Government Training Institute or any institution recognized by the Government.
1.1.2 SALARY
According to the Government salary scales, namely TGS B.
1.2 ASSISTANT RECORDS OFFICER GRADE II – TWO (2) POSITIONS
1.2.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Register incoming letters in the registry;
- Register outgoing letters from the institution in the registry;
- Distribute files to officers;
- Receive files returned to the registry from officers;
- Search for records/documents/files needed by officers;
- Return files to the shelf/cabinet or other storage locations;
- Monitor the circulation of files within the institution.
2.1.2 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS.
The applicant must have a Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) certificate and a Diploma (NTA level 6) in Records Management from institutions recognized by the Government, with computer skills.
2.1.3 SALARY
According to the Government salary scales, namely TGS C.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
- All applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae with a valid address, available phone numbers, and an Email address along with the names of three reliable referees.
- Applicants who are already Public Servants must submit their application letters through their employers.
- All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of educational and professional certificates verified by a Lawyer/Attorney, which include Form Four/Six certificates for those who have reached that level and certificates of various training in accordance with the job qualifications. Diploma/Certificates – Form IV and VI examination certificates, Computer Certificate, Professional certificates.
- “Testimonial,” “Provisional Results,” “Statement of results,” and Form IV and VI results slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- Applicants who studied abroad must ensure that their certificates have been verified and certified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
- Applicants who have retired from Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have approval from the Chief Secretary.
- Submission of false information and qualifications will lead to legal action against the individuals involved.
